We are the co-founders of Elefun Play Center—a husband-and-wife duo with two high-energy children. As parents, we know the struggle of finding a play space that’s safe, engaging, and designed specifically for young kids. Too often, we’ve taken our little ones to overcrowded play centers, only to watch them get overwhelmed—or worse, knocked over by bigger kids. We knew there had to be a better way.

That’s why we created Elefun Play Center—a space designed for toddlers and young children. An open, engaging environment where they can develop essential skills through play.

Back in the ’90s, we had the freedom to run outside, explore playgrounds, and develop fundamental skills naturally. The whole neighborhood was our playground. But today, many families live in apartments, and kids don’t have the same opportunities to climb, jump, and explore like we did. Simple but crucial skills—like learning to brace for a fall, understanding danger, and taking risks—are becoming less developed in young children.

Katie’s experience as a kindergarten teacher for over eight years, sees firsthand what children struggle with when they start school. Jufar’s background in coaching has shown how different age groups develop motor skills at varying levels. Together, we wanted to create a play center that’s not just for fun but designed to help children build essential gross motor skills—running, jumping, climbing, pushing, pulling—all in a safe and engaging environment.

More than just a play space, our goal is to build a community—one that supports both parents and children in their physical and developmental growth.
